This is my comment to Fine on her Little Red Riding Hood story. 

Room 5's Bulls Eye Challenge

This is my spread sheet on Room 5's Bulls Eye Challenge. As you can see the graph shows that Cyprus has the highest score with the total of 58. The lowest score was done by Harry, Samantha and Reon with a total of 0. I think Cyprus got the high score because he was concentrating on what he was doing. I think that the people who had the lowest was because they were not concentrating and were not patient. My score was 30.

1. I found making my personal timeline easy because I could put the years and the months in order from the smallest year to the biggest.

2. I learnt that having the year and the month when making a timeline makes it easier to do.

3. I would gather up more information next time I do one.

Residents flee Happy Valley scrub fire

A large scrub fire in Wellington almost burnt 30 houses down in Happy Valley. Seventy residents had to leave their houses and sleep at an emergency shelter at Happy Valley School. The large scrub fire happened Thursday morning at about 2pm. The fire service assistant Brett Lockyer said they are still investigating on how the fire started. They know that someone had started the fire on purpose. I

I feel very sad because 70 residents had to leave and stay overnight at Happy Valley School. I’m also angry because someone lit the fire on purpose. It won’t be a very happy valley now.

1. Are you pleased with your Silhouette painting? why / why not? 

Yes, because it stands out really well.

2. What did you find easy when you created your silhouette painting? 

I found painting the sunset easy because the folded lines were really helpful.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your Silhouette painting? -think about blending of colours, tracing round your animal and painting within your animal.

 I found tracing round the animal tricky because I had to stay really still.

4. Who / What helped you when you were painting? Miss Paton, Fine and Caitlin helped me alot in my art.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: blending of colours, animal choice, presentation.

I would like to choose a difficult animal next time I do Silhouette drawing and painting because hard ones turn out really good.

6. What frustrated you when you created your Silhouette painting? I found painting my Silhouette frustrating because when I painted, there were still some red showing.

Talofa Lava my name is Angel.
I am 10 years old and my teacher is Miss Paton.
This is my second year in Room 5. In my spare time I like to play either Maths Whizz or Sumdog on my netbook. I also like to play the piano and guitar.
My favourite food in lasagna.
My favourite movies are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Pitch Perfect
Over the holidays I did some baking with my mum and went to the beach for a couple of times
